THE LAST OF ITS KIND<\/h3>\n

A HASSELBLAD has long been the synonym for the perfect camera, the perfect photographic equipment. Simply cult.<\/p>\n

Today you can buy a HASSELBLAD of the 500 series including standard lens (80mm f2.8) for less than US$ 2.000 in good condition.<\/p>\n

The production of the 500 series did not end until 2013, with the 503cw, which I bought exactly because it was the last model, the last expansion stage.<\/p>\n\t

DECELERATED PHOTOGRAPHY<\/h3>\n

What a gift to be able to photograph with such a camera. For a long time unreachably expensive, you can now buy these dinosaurs relatively cheap.<\/p>\n

Medium format 6×6, 120 films with 12 exposures. Leaf shutter in the lens, which makes flash synchro possible at up to 1\/500.<\/p>\n

You can also use this camera with a prism viewfinder or with a motor for film transport. Both disfigure the camera very much – I like it puristically, like shown here.<\/p>\n

The standard lens is the 80mm f2.8, which corresponds to a 35mm equivalent of 50mm and a depth of field of about f1.8.<\/p>\n

What a lens – beautiful glass. It wouldn’t have to take good pictures at all, it just looks so beautiful when it’s on the camera. Just looking at it would be enough.<\/p>\n

FUJIFILM GF 670<\/h3>\n

I will be using the FUJI GF 670 to compete against my HASSELBLAD 503cw with photos of identical subjects and under identical lighting conditions. The bigger and heavier Hasselblad, however, can “only” do 6×6 format and also needs an external light meter.<\/p>\n

The Fuji will take care of that – I will take the first picture with the GF 670 and then set the same shutter speed and aperture on the Hasselblad.<\/p>\n
